Green stuff

The weather here right now is more like early spring than winter. These are supposed to be the 40 coldest days; I LOVE the GLOBAL WARMING. (And by the way, the summer was not as brutal as the others have been.) Being that the weather is like spring, the "green stuff" as the locals call it, is coming up. They go around and cut the green stuff and eat it. Sometimes in salads, sometimes in bread, and sometimes they put them in oil and cook it. The girls go out everyday with the neighbor girls and cut it. They can't wait to go out with their friends.

Christmas morning

This a bottle of sumac syrup. People here take the sumac seeds and smash them and put them in water to make the water sour, and then put it on salads. They also put the smashed grindings on cucumbers. Megan really likes it. This is the first time we have seen the syrup, so we got it for her for along with a new tooth brush. It didn't last long. The syrup that is.

Chr Morn

Brianna got ketchup instead of sumac syrup. She also got a tooth brush. She likes ketcup, and good ketchup here is hard to find. So when we found it we bought it for her.

mug 1

Brianna likes hot chocolate, and when she drinks it she likes to stir it all the time (cause all the chocolate goes to the bottom).

best present

Before Christmas we asked the girls what they wanted, and the only thing Megan wanted was this mortar and pestle. She was so happy when she got it. Only a MK would like something like that. She uses it for her sumac mostly and once she put walnuts in there for some snack.

bestest presents

Well Megan may have liked her present, but Brianna loves her presents. Of course the music and videos are for the both of them, but Brianna gets more mileage out of them. When I asked her what she wanted for Christmas, she said she didn't need anything, she was content with what she had. We bought these in the States back in Sept.

Nice Christmas

I got a new stocking cap to replace the old KC Chief's hat I had. Susan got that for me. I got myself some other things for my bike and also some new helmets for the girls.
