hillbillies in K-land

This is how we sled in K-land. these hills are some kind of brittle rock, and the outer layer is chat. The hill is so steep you can not walk up it. The girls wanted to go somewhere and play in the dirt and dig. I bought them some garden tools and they went to digging. they got tired of that and found a not so steep place they could walk up the side of the hill and get on top. I got an old piece of carpet from the back of the truck and they used that for their sled. They had a great time. I did it a couple of times also, had to make sure it was safe.

got it made

Megan is enjoying the music, and solitare on the computer. I was drinking coffee and doing some work but when I came back she had taken over. The heaters that we use are in the upper left hand corner of the pic. They are karosene heaters.

frizbee

Here we are out in a wheat field in North IQ playing frizbee. Who would have thought that would happen in our life time. There was sheep pellets (poop) all over the place out here. Rod started picking them up and breaking them open with his fingers. He asked me if this was left over from the wheat crop? I told him yes, kind of. He asked me what they are, and I told him. I had a good laugh.

There are no camels or deserts here. This is a beautiful valley. This river is crystal clear, and the ancient Assyrians made this river flow all the way down to Ninevah, modernday Mosul.
